How to start Parish Family Cells?

How to start Parish Family Cells?

1. Choose 5 representative spousal couples, preferably include also a medical doctor, a nurse, a teacher, a Religious Sister and a Priest (if there are assistants/other religious priests in your parish) from your Parish, to be on the PFC. They are expected to be prudent, mature and willing to serve the parish and families in the parish.

2. Once this selection is done, you are requested to inform the Director / Asst. Director / Coordinator, Development and Training of the PFCs so that we can send our team to conduct a Brain Storming session on ‘Why the need of Parish Family Service Cell (PFC). You can contact the Coordinator, Training and Develop of the Commission for Family of the Archdiocese for assistance at any time to organize PFC programmes in any deanery or parish.

3. The second session for the Parish Family Cells will be listing out the tasks of the PFC through a session ‘Introduction to Parish Family Cells’. In this, the members will be made well versed in the tasks of the PFC. This can be organized at the Deanery level or Parish level.

4. Following this, they will be invited for a FAMILY ANIMATORS TRAINING SESSION at the DEANERY level (consisting of five sessions) so they are well equipped to manage their PFC (just like BEC animators/Catechetical animators/Biblical animators’ course).
